Rules of Admission

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

  1. Admissions are made for a period of one academic year only.
  2. Admissions are made strictly on the basis of distance then merit provided the student satisfies the eligibility criteria. First year admissions will be made on the basis of distance and CUET result.
  3. In case of tie between the two candidates meeting the eligibility/merit the decision regarding the admission will be based on the following criteria (in the order given only for first year students)
      1. Distance
      1. CUET / Merit
  4. Self-attested photocopies of the following should be submitted along with the application form:
      • College admission fee receipt.
      • Class XII mark-sheet/ Mark-sheet of the last qualifying examination passed.
      • Proof of Residence – Certificate issued by a competent (local) authority/Aadhar Card/Passport/Voter ID. No other document will be accepted as residential proof.
      • Medical certificate as per the Proforma given in the Bulletin.
      • Anti-ragging undertakings both from student and parents.
      • Undertaking from students and parents to abide by the rules.
      • Students applying to the Hostel under reserved categories are required to submit the certificate issued by the competent authority.
      • Certificate of physical disability for students under PwD category.
      • Caste certificate for students applying under OBC category (Non creamy layer).
      • SC/ST Certificate issued by the competent authority
  5. The lists of candidates to be admitted to the Hostel will be notified separately on the Hostel notice board and Hostel website.

NOTES:

  1. The dates are liable to change in case of changes in the admission schedule of the University/College.
  1. No admission will normally be made in any category after the admission process to the University/College is over.
  1. The hostel remains non-functional during summer and winter vacations. Students will not be allowed to stay in the Hostel during vacations. They require to vacate the rooms during summer vacations.
 ADMISSION TO FOREIGN STUDENTS

  • The students under foreign student category will be admitted to hostel only after the seats reserved in the college for foreign students are completely filled.
  • Applications are to be routed through the Foreign Students’ Advisor (FSA), University of Delhi and forwarded by the respective Embassy.
  • A Medical Fitness Certificate from the National Institute of Communicable Diseases, 22, Sham Nath Marg, Delhi-110054 must be submitted
CANCELLATION OF ADMISSION/EVICTION FROM THE HOSTEL

Admission of a student may be cancelled and an eviction notice may be issued to a resident for ANY of the following reasons:

  • Inadequate minimum attendance of 67% as per University guideline in the 1st semester (August - December).
  • Any suppression of facts and/or providing wrong information related to residence.
  • Incorrect information related to pre-existing medical status/condition.
  • Involvement in ragging.
  • Non-payment of dues for more than 30 consecutive days.
  • Repeated leave from the Hostel and extension of leave.
  • Keeping guests in the room.
  • Cessation of regular studentship.
  • Violation of any Hostel rules and any form of indiscipline.
  • Making casteist, communal or racist remarks against others.
  • Any form of bullying or harassment, or physical violence.
  • Any other form of misbehaviour towards other residents/hostel authorities/safai workers /mess workers .
  • College takes cybercrime very seriously.
  • Any Resident found to have in her possession or consuming intoxicant/drugs/alcohol/hookah/vape etc. will have her admission in the Hostel cancelled and served eviction notice.


  • NOTE
  • The Hostel authorities reserve the right to issue an eviction notice to the resident after a verbal intimation, with a copy to LG/Parents, as per Hostel rules.
  • No discussion on the same will be entertained.


  • Within 48 hours of receipt of eviction notice the resident must vacate her room.
